Lance Trollop Receives Most Votes In Local Election

Lance Trollop, Yvonne Henning and incumbent Robb Shepherd were elected Tuesday

The election results were too close to call early this morning when the Wausau Daily Herald print edition went to press. Final vote totals were tallied overnight.

Trollop received 7,188 votes, Shepherd had 7,059 votes and Henning received 6,423 votes. Ostertag finished with 6,420 votes.

The four candidates were vying for three three-year seats on the nine-person School Board.

The Wausau School District, like most districts across the state, will face heavy fiscal challenges in the coming months, and the budget was on voters’ minds when they cast their ballots.
